Why does the author feel that whites owe King the greatest debt?
--It liberated the whites by allowing them to claim that there are leaders of the "free world". Being leaders of the 'free world" allowed them to break down the Iron Curtain without being hypocritical.
Was King "the right man at the right time"?
--King was the right man at the right time becasue he was a preacher and spoke from bibical cadences. Also, being a preacher helped him to connect to the spirit of the black masses.

--Yes, becasue the line has been used by the opponents of affirmative action\
